Twitter? Does this mean blogging is out?

Lol... I do everything late. I didn't start dating until I was 28, I started wearing parachute pants 5 years after they where cool, I didn't start taking college classes until I was 25... You get the idea.

I just started a blog for a few different reasons. I've also been reading other blogs, but I see that blogging isn't as cool as twitting? What the heck is twitter and should I skip the blogging and go straight to twitter?

Can someone fill me in?

I'm not a twitter expert, but it's generally used as a tool to update your status often (and see what your friends are doing).

I don't see that there is all that much overlap with blogging, at least not the thoughtful kind. If your blog is mostly very frequent one-line posts, then maybe twitter is an alternative.
