Hi,

I really want to purchase a good social networking script but so far I could not decide which one to buy. My purchase budget is 800 US$ at maximum . I have read so many reviews and all of that only makes my head spinning.

The features I want: forum, blog, photo, groups, flashchat, video/ music share, event, search and other standard social networking site.

I have observed that AbleSpace has so many nice and modern features, but they also receive so many bad reviews, and labeled as Scam from russia that would only steal your money and never give any support.
I also read that PHPfox is having so many bugs on it and need to be re-coded . Boonex is free but has so buggy and still need to purchase additional adds-, mods. Social engine is quite clean and neat code but the feature is very basic. Then also when I think about going custom script, it would be very expensive :(.

I already bought Vbulletin last month, but not using it yet just considering the integration to the script i will buy. I also have a small site dedicated to my native city running on Vivvo CMS. I coud not say im a good programmer, and my most exposure coming from wordpress i used in my blog.

I need your advice and share of experience using any social networking script, and the main problem with the script. I believe there are many webmasters in this forum having the experience using some SNS, so your help would be highly regarded.

Thanks before.

Check out Community Builder, which is a Joomla extension. You can then mix and match any of the Joomla extensions like Fireboard (forum), MyBlog (blog), SEO components etc etc. Joomla is awesome, and free, with hundreds of developers working on plug-ins. And it's multilingual.

I researched all the social networking scripts, and Joomla + Community Builder was by far the best option. I use it for a number of sites :-)
