This disorder is characterized by the creation of a blog in which the individual consistently denigrates not only the opinions of others, but the very fact that others have opinions...

That has a familiar ring to it and spills over into forum discussions, but my very favorite is Pugilistic Discussion Syndrome:

In this curious form of aphasia, the subject is unable to distinguish between a discussion and a contest. The subject approaches any online forum as a sort of playing field, and attempts to "win" the discussion by any means necessary.

Is there anyone who hasn't seen it or done it (and will admit to it)?

Ha! That's how I came across this article again today. ;)

Nice find, Marcia. I'm sure all of us have run into people suffering from Pugilistic Discussion Syndrome!

But is it a curable disorder? It seems to often be fatal, at least in a well-moderated community...

I don't know, I haven't been cured yet. ;)
