I just set up a new IPB forum. I can't find anywhere where I can set the forums to remove old topics or ones with no recent replies... maybe I'm blind?

It's not in the Admin CP, but in the forum view, so AFAIK it has to be set separately for each forum. Click the "Forum Options" button and select "Prune/Mass move" (in moderator options). It has several methods of pruning, one of which lets you pick the number of days since last post to trigger pruning.

Two great resources (I'm still new with the board, too): The "Support" tab at the top of the Admin CP takes you to the client area where you can submit a support ticket or go to the assistance forum (IPSBeyond). Also in the client area, the manual is a downloadable PDF. I've downloaded it, so can search it without having to go to the IPB website (not terribly complete, though - I didn't find the answer to this question there, but through a search for "prune" at IPSBeyond).
