How many times have you typed a reply to a topic only to decide, "Nah, I'm not going to post that?"

Oooh, lots of times. Thirty, forty percent, maybe. Sometimes because I've had another thunk; others 'cause the thread was probably just a waste of my time. Come to think of it, why am I posting in this silly thread? Where the heck is my back button?

Also lots of times.

On this forum, it's usually because I decide I don't know what I'm talking about well enough to put it out there.

On forums related to my niche, it's usually because I find so much to say that the post goes on and on -- so instead of posting it, I copy and paste it onto the clipboard and turn it into an article for my site. ;)

Sometimes a reply to a thread just turns out differently than you expect... You realize that what seemed humorous might be taken wrong, or that what you thought you could explain in a line or two just confused the issue more. I probably abandon one out of ten or twenty replies.
