Does one exist?

From the last post of Library thread:
[ [webmasterworld.com...] ]

Whitey:

Maybe it's time for a "lite" forum version that's simple and SEO compatible.

Does one exist now? If not, what would be the closest alternative?

The closest I've run across is "minibb"; It allows for at least somewhat search engine friendly URLs via mod_rewrite and, judging by the demo forum does a halfway decent job with page titles & descriptions.

I haven't done an installation of it for some time, but I recall that it is relatively easy to "skin" via the stylesheet once the class names are accounted for.

At one point, Discusware was quite simple, and SEO-able with a few minor tweaks. They have since changed versions, though, and I can't speak to how well they do.

Thanks for the suggestions Edouard_H and rogerd.

I guess we'll try both of these out.

In the meanwhile, any further suggestions please, anybody?

Lastly, I wonder what software does WebmasterWorld use? Is it a third-party affair or has Brett rolled his own here?
