NEW YORK (Reuters) - MySpace has developed technology to tailor advertisements to its members based on information on their personal profile pages, owner Fox Interactive Media said on Tuesday.

Now, with the info from the myspace profiles and communications back and forth, I think they'll really be able to granualize and zero in with vendor ads. Finally!

But I wonder what the user interface will look like for the vendors in specifying the criteria for the ad matching.

Guess they won't be using Google to supply the ads. Don't think they permit advertising 420 paraphernalia.

There will be unique keyword targeting challenges. For example, you'd be wasting your time marketing ab-rollers to people who describe themselves as "fat". (Most commonly used to describe one's skinniest-looking photo.)
