Anybody have experience with Joomlapolis?

Need input on joomlapolis

Joomlapolis is under consideration for a social networking site that we're about to build. The other options are Buddy Zone and others that don't seem too hot.

So can anybody out there provide me with pros/cons to using Joomlapolis?

I have no experience with it, but a visit to their website is not encouraging.

Maybe it's just me, but I tend to stay away from products that I can't make head or tails of from their website.

I know it's typical of developer's sites, though... Can't find a simple, single paragraph that tells me what it is and what it does... That should be the first paragraph on the site, but I can't find it anywhere.

Apparently, the product is actually called "Community Builder", and Joomlapolis is a community that uses it. It doesn't look like a community site, though, because, really, it seems to be a developer's site.

Not only can't I tell what CB does (features, etc.) I'm also unclear on what the community itself is about.

Hey, everybody - listen up! If you do nothing else today, make sure your websites all start with one paragraph that tell users what the heck the site is about!
