I have been using phpbb for a while, I have robots.txt setup as:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /links/
Disallow: /guestbook/
Disallow: /phpbb/admin/
Disallow: /phpbb/cache/
Disallow: /phpbb/db/
Disallow: /phpbb/includes/
Disallow: /phpbb/language/
Disallow: /phpbb/templates/
Disallow: /phpbb/common.php
Disallow: /phpbb/groupcp.php
Disallow: /phpbb/memberlist.php
Disallow: /phpbb/login.php
Disallow: /phpbb/modcp.php
Disallow: /phpbb/posting.php
Disallow: /phpbb/search.php
Disallow: /phpbb/profile.php
Disallow: /phpbb/privmsg.php
Disallow: /phpbb/viewonline.php
Disallow: /phpbb/faq.php
Disallow: /phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=
Disallow: /phpbb/post-*.html$
Disallow: /phpbb/updates-topic.html*$
Disallow: /phpbb/stop-updates-topic.html*$
Disallow: /phpbb/ptopic*.html$
Disallow: /phpbb/ntopic*.html$
Allow: /phpbb/index.php

Have the SEO mod installed and the proper .htaccess.

I have searched over scores of articles of Phpbb SEO and cannot see why the whole forum is PR0 the rest of the site sports nice PR6s and 5s throughout.

Now I consider myself a phpbb veteran, and this is very perplexing... The TRAFFIC remains good, uneffected, but we all consider PR0 to be a possible red-flag that we have something wrong.

Anyone here running PHPbb with a decent pagerank? If so what mods are you using?

Thanks

My forum is a PR4 and I have no SEO mods installed at all.

I do use the topics anywhere mod on other static pages which may help though.

Speaking of SEO mods what do you use as I'd like to see topics from the board appearing in the SERPS a little more?

Is the forum home page (which I assume is a folder or a subdomain, like www.example.com/forum/ or forum.example.com) showing PR0 too?

Did it have PR before and then fall to zero?

How long has the forum been in place?

Must be some strangeness going on with G PR right now, they are back to normal PRs and some show increases...

Go figure...
