How often should it be done?

How often should you email people on your mailing list?
Once a month, once a week....?
I want to keep them updated and active on the site, but not email them so often that they get annoyed and leave.

Is it better to add all your new articles and content once a month and email them, or add a few new articles once a week and email about that?

Im doing the same sort of thin initially going to go with once a month - basically because of the industry that we are in.

I have subscribed for weekly stuff myself- and it does in my mind become too much.

Once a month is a good frequency, but if you have a lot of really compelling news, weekly might be OK. You can always try polling your recipients, or a portion of them.
