OK, I tried exporting a MySQL database via Cpanel. When I try to import it, it says there's an error with "DEFAULT CHARSET = latin1". So I deleted all occurences of that, and reuploaded. When I finally imported the database (via SSH, not phpmyadmin or any other web interface since the SQL database was 70 MB), my forums no longer work. I can view member profiles, but I can't login, and I don't see any forums.

I checked the MySQL database, and everything seems to have been imported correctly. I receive PHP errors and such though pertaining to functions.php. I also get a "Database error" when I try to access the Admin CP.

What happened?

Hmmm, no replies yet... must be a tough one, RogerZF. Did you try re-exporting to be sure that the original file wasn't corrupted?

If you keep getting the same error, I'd suggest putting in a trouble ticket at vBulletin. I've found their support to be very responsive and usually helpful.

I recognise that error, I got the same when transferring my site to a better host.

Albeit one that used an earlier version of Linux....

Happily the host company are great and actually rebuilt my databases for me to run properly. :o)
