I keep a mailling list that sends out news when my site is updated-- I use a mailing list service provider to handle my email list. I also have a forum.
Is there a way I can make it so when people register and enter their email into my phpbb forum, their email is also auotmatically signed up for the mailing list?
Or is there a way I can access a list of emails from my PHPbb forum and copy those over to my mailing list?

Hi,

there are some PHP BB mods available for similar functionality. You have a sticky with a link.

There is no good phpbb mod for this. Invision has a better mailing system that phpbb. Try to use phplist.

Anything out there that works for vbulletin? Or do you just use the built in email stuff if you need to do a mass email?

I checked the forums at phplist and there was essentially zero mention of vb. Didn't find anything at the vb .com or .org forums.

vBulletin has a "generate mailing list" function under "Users" in the Admin CP.
