Common error, prolly easy fix

I'm having a serious issue with my new board using 2.0.11 version of phpbb. Saw you all were pretty helpful and figured I'd give it a go, since several others are having the same issue as I am but no one responds at phpbb.com.

I'm having an issue with the common login/logout not working (get page cannot be displayed, when you're really logged in or out). After trying everything I found to try, I thought I had narrowed it down to just bad coding or something installed incorrectly with the login.php page. However, I just realized I'm not able to allow people into groups either. It seems that maybe it is the cookie path/domain giving the issue, but I dont understand how to correct it. What it was set to by default didn't work and what I changed it too didn't work either. Can anyone tell me what its supposed to be (the format?) I realize you can't tell me MY specific cookie path/domain.

If anyone can shed some light on this.. thanks a bunch!

I registered, and was allowed to login....
