Publishing agent for historical fiction wanted

I am trying to find a good agent for a historical fiction novel I am trying to publish. I'd appreciate any referrals or leads.

The novel is pretty much complete at this point but will need an editor.

I've only submitted to one agent at this point. The proliferation of agents makes the task a bit overwhelming.

I will not deal with any agent who requests up front fees or 'reading fees'
