De-Cloaking

Are there any sites or utilities to view sites as SE?

It would be interesting to view competitor sites thru the eyes of the search engines.

If the cloaking is done properly, you won't be able to access the cloaked version of the page at all, even from the cached version. If the cloaking is done with something like a simple user-agent string check, then you can easily see what the differences are by using the User Agent Switcher extension in Firefox or with wget.

1. User-Agent switcher - this should defeat normal user agent cloaking.

2. Translation or cache tools. If the cloaker is half-decent, he's doing IP cloaking. But some cloakers stop there, and don't block themselves from the spiders of the ancillary services.

3. WAP tools. Some WAP tools can be sent a parameter to send back HTML instead of WAP. ;-) That's a good way to check.

4. Trusted partner feed - If you've got access to the trusted partner feed of one of the SEs, I suppose you could go in that way. I've never tried it.
