Is this considered Cloaking?

I have tutorials directory at my site. When a visitor clicks on a tutorial, prior to be redirected to the proper external website I count (track, whatever) the click, then the visitor gets redirected.

It happened that Google (and perhaps other engines) has indexed these tracking urls (with my domain) but with the content of the external site.

So far I understand that's the famous redirection problem with Google we all know.

If I tell the tracking script to check if the visitor that clicks that tracking url comes from another domain and then show him an internal page of my site (with the tutorial description and link) instead of redirecting him to the external site, is that considered cloaking?

Just don't want to visitors to click on a tracking url from an external source, I want them to enter my site and then have the chance to click on that tutorial or to see other tutorials.

Yes, this is referrer based cloaking. You could have problems with it.

Thanks, I thought so. Anyway, we changed the strategy and will go other way. Sadly these redirected url will remain for a while at google, thus consuming our server resources and sending traffic to other site.

Anyway, that's part of the game. When we fix things up this will end.
