We're considering using test & target to see which of 2 very similarly named products customers are associating with a few mispellings. This is in organic search only, not separating one URL for paid and another for organic. It's definitely *not* a case where we're saying one thing, then delivering totally different content.

Has anyone done this? Are there lashes in store for us if we try it?

Depends on how you are running the test.

Google allows classic split-ab testing without issue.

You could also do the tests on a time frame. If you now the index and listing rate, you could switch it day-to-day or week-to-week.

Either way, google shouldn't have an issue with it.
