I know there is an FTP hosted option in Blogger where I can move blogger to my host, and from there I now have control for IP redirection.
But will blogger 301 the old blogspot.com URLs to my new FTP hosted URLs where I will do the IP redirection? Aside from that, if ever they do, I will then have a double 301, doing a 301 twice, just wondering on your opinions on this if it is that good or bad?
So I do not consider my October 2006 domain new anymore.
Now I have this website, let's say:
www.domain-account.com
But I have a separate site:
some-blogger-account.blogspot.com
And my blogger account ranks higher than my main domain account. These are two different sites. I think just because it's blogger, it ranks higher. Specifically this is a MSN/Live issue.
I was thinking of doing a 301 redirect of my blogger site to my main account.
But I believe I have no control of doing a 301 redirect on blogger.
And if I move the blogger account to an ftp hosted blogger account, I believe the old blogspot URLs do not 301 to the new URLs.
But since I asked this in the cloaking section, I plan to redirect MSNbot visiting the blogspot site to the main site. But I think I have a hopeless case. I think i cannot do 301s on blogspot.com.
