I'm looking for a payment processor to integrate into my site that allow for reccuring billing. I have used 2checkout but the problem is they reject many of the valid orders that I get from expats living in China because they assume it is fraud.

Does anyone have any suggestions of payment processors that are not so rigid?

You've probably thought about it already, but paypal seems to be the simplest solution. Many expats may already have an account with them.

Originally I was going to use paypal but I encoutered two problems, the first was for reccuring subscriptions people who don't have paypal accounts are required to create an account (extra steps = lost customers) and secondly it seems that with recurring subscriptions there is no auto return function which makes tracking difficult.
If I'm wrong on these points or someone has an alternative solution for payment processors that would be much appreciated....

tcpn8. Currently Paypal will be your best online payment solutions. I am a native Chinese and I don't know if there is any trusted third party online payment system provider. Even if you can find one, are you sure that your potential customers will have faith in the system?

Don't forget the AliBaba Payment Processing in China [webmasterworld.com] option.

Bill, Alipay is in Chinese. I don't think many expats in China can read Chinese.

It seems like paypal is probably your best option, since many expats are familiar with their system. I would wait a while for alipay to gain some traction.

Hi tcnn8,

If they use credit card, you can use paypal, 2checkout(which you are using now), worldpay, whatever CC processor you know.

If they use bank card, it's a bit trouble. As long as I know, you cannot charge bank card automatically once a period--unless you are a biller authorized by the bank.
