As to the Google Bus, interesting that they painted it white, as white is associated with death in many Asian countries. I wonder if the association exists in Korea as well, and whether this could then be a huge gaff on the part of the Google people. Curious.

I kept thinking about Google everyday while I was in the US but now I never think about it until I come here...
nothing really new there that you dont' see elsewhere, (explain about google products), except the bus/bus marketing event.

yes, it does. (family of deceased wears white at a funeal)...and I actually mentioned that in my other post about the bus a while back---when I did my own informal survey (ie: a few local korean colleages) and they all said it made em think about "hospital/funeral" and/or bus for ..."the committed". heh. ... That said, I also hear that those that have been on it loved the experience and its being well received.
that is, it seems to be overcoming the initial negative associations (once you take a ride).
still I'm surprised they went with a white bus in the first place given that association. I know, I know...corporate color branding....but still.
Could be a "as long as you remember it" its a good thing strategy. snort*
well, there was a tiny article about it a while ago but it didn't attract much attention. Most of Koreans will say Google who? With over 90% of broadband Internet connection, Google simple design is not a beauty but a boredom.
