Last week's visit to China by Google's CEO Eric Schmidt has got a number of people talking about just what's going on between these two. Other than speculation I haven't seen any real hard facts, but I'd be interested to hear what you think.

Will there be a Google takeover of Baidu? Will they join forces in some other way? Baidu still holds a commanding lead in the Chinese search market, but a merger of these two would certainly put them well ahead of any other competitors.

I hope they will always be competitors. I like to see they use two totally different technology in searching which give me an alternative.
