Google AU did this in Sydney recently - two x 2 hr sessions on AdWords; the first for Beginners and the second Advanced.

Today in Melbourne, they did the same gig, but nothing that WW regulars didn't know already. From the Q&A session, a hint of things coming soon:

* I didn't hear the question well, but it was about the surfeit of affiliate sites in the serps. Apparently, we will see less of them shortly.

* You will soon be able to edit CPCs en masse across a campaign from one interface.

* Changes coming in conversion tracking.

* Local targeting based on lat/long, city, region (already out)

* Troubleshooting tool, e.g. why didn't my ads show

* Improved traffic estimator

* We also got a precise figure where one gets an account manager - $2500 a month, but this will be raised significantly.

How did you hear about this roadshow?

We spend about $1500 a month with Google and we were not invited.

I got an email invite at my personal (not client's) address, so I don't have a guess why you were not invited. It was well catered, with good quality finger food, wine and beer.

The $100 coupons are only good for new accounts, unlike the US ones, which can be applied to an existing account. Someone had gone around and pilfered a lot of them.

Google done one at the Direct Marketing show at Earls Court in London a few weeks ago.

It's a sales pitch to get new people to sign up for Adwords.
