A survey by Chinese Internet research center iResearch found that Baidu is nearly twice as popular among Chinese Internet users as Google, the company said in a statement.

Baidu already has an incredible lead in this market. A few years ago before the Google blocking incidents in China I would have said Google's technology would have had the edge over a lot of the existing stuff then available in the Chinese search market. With this acquisition Baidu is further solidifying its position at the top of China's growing market.
