Looks like [openfind.com.tw...] may be in beta testing for a more International portal: [openfind.com...] .

Don't like the idea of another rising search portal that caches pages however. Especially since they screwed up my CSS and have held onto this ugly snapshot for 6 months now. Hopefully the new portal will grab another copy and get it right this time.

This one has been around for a while. The under construction message has been up for a few years now it seems.

Here's an older thread: Largest Search Engine in the world opens [webmasterworld.com] July 1, 2002

Hmmm, interesting Bill - thanks. I'd been seeing an occasional crawl from .tw but just today saw it come from .com, hense my assumption. As I said, they are caching pages and they do have an Add URL [openfind.cc] (older thread said they didn't at that time.)

This used to come up every once in a while in the old spidering forum because they would spider from the .com domain. Every once in a while someone would bring this up since they closed their English site and put up that "Under Construction" page. You're not alone in thinking that. ;)

The Chinese site does return English results. That must be the result of their crawling sites like yours. I haven't bothered figuring out their SERPs, but it looks like there are some pretty recent updates in there.
