Who feeds who?

With all the SE relationship changes going on at the moment, I am finding it all a tad confusing as to exactly who feeds who or who will be feeding who?

As I understand it, Yahoo will eventually drop Google for Inktomi as secondary web results. What about looklistings, will they be replaced by overture? (aren't overture international?) As for nineMSN, are they expected to continue with Looksmart?

I apologise for the 20 Q's, i'm finding all the aquisitions and changes difficult to get my head around.

Could anyone suggest some reading or shed some light on the situation?

Very much appreciated :)

I wont link as I think its against the board TOS, but, if you type 'search engine relationship chart australia' into Google there are some very good results at the moment which should shed some light on this.

What about looklistings, will they be replaced by overture?

Yahoo has already announced they will be going with Overture early next year (OV will be opening an AU office around that time)

Yahoo will eventually drop Google for Inktomi as secondary web results?

Its widely expected that this will happen as Yahoo have already been testing Inktomi in many of their regional search results. No solid dates that I know of though.

Hope that helps - and welcome to Webmasterworld :)
