Here as I write it is still the evening before however it is already November 11, Single's (11/11: all those ones/singles) Day in China.

And the first hour's result is in: 84 billion yuan (12 billion USD), up from last year's record of 69 billion. It took a whole additional 4-minutes (63 minutes 59 seconds) to pass 100 billion yuan.

Exports may be down due to ongoing trade disputes but the internal consumer economy is looking much stronger than expectations.

Note: my Chinese hosted sites managed an average weeks revenue in that same first hour.

Note: :)

@phranque: if only it was as simple as cranking a rheostat to new (relabelled) levels...
Have to admit I'm as pumped as if being so blasted...

Final totals yet to be calculated but Alibaba looks to see something over 37 billion USD all by itself.
Note: that is a good bit more more than the entire upcoming North American Black Friday through Cyber Monday is likely to see...

JD (China's largest online direct retailer) was reporting 25 billion at mid afternoon.

Plus all the others...

Including moi!
My Chinese hosted sites look to have almost tripled affiliate revenue over last year and I thought that was unreal.

Note: Not in the billions (not even in yuan) sadly but still grrrrrreat! for a guy with a computer in the Great White North.
Now to see if my prep for the BF-CM weekend sees similarly improved results.
Gotta love the web. And affiliate marketing.
