China now has ~100 million people in the global economic top 10% to the USAs ~99 million.
The USA created 3.8 trillion USD in wealth last year to China's 1.9 (twice as much).
The global economic bottom 10% of people controls 18% of wealth compared to 11% in 2000.

For those who have a luxury component to their product/service offerings the Chinese market is increasingly worth considering.
Note: however, it remains a much more complex and government regulated than most other national markets. Extra due diligence is required.
