Australia to Investigate Facebook and Google over Impact to Publishers and Consumers

Australia's regulator has decided to investigate Facebook and Google over disruption to to publishers and consumers.
It'll be interesting to see if this actually goes anywhere. Not all of these investigations have turned out to be more than an annoyance to the new media businesses.

“We will examine whether platforms are exercising market power in commercial dealings to the detriment of consumers, media content creators and advertisers,” Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Chairman Rod Sims said in a statement. Saw this the other night and started to post it (though I'm not engaged in that geo). Will be interested to see if the Aussies can get REAL answers from the tech titans., More power to 'em!
