According to a report, a Chinese ad agency is employing malware on Android mobiles to rake in an estimated $300,000 per month.
Once a user has an infected device the malware installs more apps to compound the issue.

Only recently I added anti-virus protection to my Android device as i'd thought it wasn't a problem, however, it's clear that this, and others are targeting the weakest points.

As Google says, they're activly blocking this threat. Wonder how so many installs of this malware happened then? Unless some ISPs are not serving the Android updates on time. I just updated to Marshmellow 6.0 which is the latest for my phone.

I keep the box checked that stops installation of any non-Google Play Store app as well as run the anti-virus app Lookout.

I also nevet click ads... not on purpose anyway.
