I am puzzled about Google's Chinese rankings

glad to come here,i am a chinese and do business on internet,so i am studying google,but it is different that google deal with english and chinese,so i want to know google's chinese mathematics,looking forward to your helps!

I'm not sure what you mean with 'chinese mathematics' but maybe you wanted to know the percentage of Chinese users on Google. On message 12 of this thread [webmasterworld.com] you can see the build up of the 'Languages Used to Access Google' over the last 2 years:

but i mean that...for example:<title>the english best length is 9</title>,but <title>how much is the chinese?</title>,i think google's dealing must be different,i want to know how google deal with chinese,in term of bits?what is it's conversion?

If you have one very important keyword which is really competitive, then having a title with only that one word will be the best title. IMHO there is no best length title in English that applies to all cases.

What I think he means is, if people in here are making suggestions that your TITLE tag (and other meta etc) should be no more than 100 characters long for example, he is asking whether there is a chinese character limit, which is different to that of the english character.

Since some of the chinese chars are like entire words etc.

Does the G algo even work for chinese characters? if so, thats cool.

Why dont you just buy chinese traffic .. ive got a fair few I cant use .. ill sell you 400,000 chinese impressions a day for $1

I am afraid you have to observe google results in Chinese to find out what it is doing.

Links and anchor text and not trusting a page, but believing what others say about the page, are the most important part, so I would not worry about length of title too much.

My guess is that technical reasons do not count much ingoogle's assessment of titles, but standard use of language.

I haven't seen titles stuffed with keywords in the SERPs, so either people are not doing it, or google does not like it.

Interesting question, echo1573.

To get a picture of the maximum titles of Google results look at the first 5 to 10 result pages. Google adds "..." after the maximum displayed characters but doesn't cut words. At google.com the maximum length is around 60 chars more or less depending on the length of each word. The question is just how to compare the length of a english and a chinese string? ...
