I've an multilingual site with Chinese, Korean, Japanese content.

But unfortunately I don't understand those languages myself. I want to submit sitemaps of these languages to Baidu but unfortunately I'm not able to since Baidu submission guidelines are all in Chinese.

I can't afford paid services.

Is there any way out?

Use their sitemap ping tool [ping.baidu.com...]

I did use it on March 3rd only to submit XML sitemap of Chinese pages only. And it showed success(I had to translate that message).

But in Baidu.com when I enter my domain name, it shows other site results only. Also no traffic is from Baidu search engine.

What to do?

Has the Baidu spider visited your site after submitting the sitemap?

That's the question that's been exercising my mind since I first saw the subject line. Is there any way to prevent Baidu from crawling? That is, ahem, from attempting to crawl?

:: detour to logs of current site, in existence since late December ::

It took them a while to find it at all, but from 18 January to 4 March they visited on 20 days.* So apparently by fits and starts, but heaven knows I never invited them...

* Log files in which the string "baidu" occurs. Haven't bothered to look in greater detail yet. The last few visits were from the 180.76 IP.

Yes Baidu has indexed my site's English home page. But no indication of the Chinese language pages. I had pinged the xml sitemap of Chinese pages on March 3rd .. but no success. Baidu sucks.

Did you submit the English sitemap in order for it to be indexed? At that time did you have the Chinese content in place?

Was your Chinese content crawled?

Ranking naturally on Baidu is very difficult if there is any competition at all. Is it possible you're just buried in the SERPs?

I've pinged URL: zh-hans/sitemap.xml of only Chinese pages.
In Baidu.com when I type in "site:mysite.com" it's only home page English version is shown in the SEP(total 1 SERP result). But for site:yahoo.cn it shows many pages of SERP.

Check your server logs for instances of Baiduspider to see if you've been crawled. The IPs will be from China or Japan.
