Qihoo 360: So.com Search Query Share Nears 20%

Qi Xiangdong, President of Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU), has announced that query share for the company's So.com search engine is approaching 20%, and is on track to meet its previous forecast of capturing 30% of China's search market by the end of 2014.

Slow but steady wins the race I guess. ;)
Back in 2012 [webmasterworld.com] we saw So.com with only a 10% share.

As of last January, the sosospider asks for robots.txt under the "wrong" hostname (always), doesn't follow-up the redirect, and never asks for anything else. That's under 124.115.6.13.

Further detour to raw logs shows that "Sosospider" disappeared abruptly near the end of March. Either they lost interest in me, or they've moved and changed their name.

I don't have any indication that 124.115.0.0/19 has anything to do with soso (officially) but I have the range blocked. According to DNS the whole 124.114.0.0/15 shows as dynamic and it may well be, with "users" pretending to be bots. :(
