This article doesn't really answer the question it asks, but there is some decent general background on Qihoo 360.

Qihoo Search: Dead on Arrival? [searchenginewatch.com]

Should we in the search industry consider Qihoo now that the dust settled? Well, yes and no, and it's still too early to tell.

How's your traffic from Qihoo 360?

:) we need chuckles like this when things start getting too serious, and for Leosghost and I, and maybe other Frenchies, that's an echo -- qui (prounced like qi) is who in French...ahhh never mind you have to be there...it looses it's affect when explained away :(

that's an echo -- qui (prounced like qi) is who in French..
which made me smile first time I ever heard it ( clue ..it becomes a bad word..not what you'd want to call your searchengine, unless it was for pron ) the first time I heard it and realised that the Chinese don't speak Franglais..nor Quebecquish[sic]..

..Qihoo reminds me of altavista..keyword stuffing makes it roll over and put it's paws in the air..( it also appears to have built in Forex ? ..unlike altavista )..and it returns a lot of pages from Baidu ( which is probably Baidu's fault for allowing their results to be scraped..or maybe it is returning Baidu subdomians ? ..my reading of Chinese is a long way from any good so the Baidu pages in Qihoo's results may well be the latter )..SEO for Qihoo wouldn't tax anyone..

But seriously folks...

Do/did they have a robot? What's it called? Apparently not qihoo, unless they limited their crawling to Chinese sites.

nor Quebecquish [sic]

How do you pronounce that? Rhymes with squish? Or is the q just for decoration?

:: idly wondering if I can convince a Chinese search engine that naaraajiiruluk means "My esteemed colleague from Montreal" ::

:: shuffling papers ::

Good heavens, there it is. Forged referer, Chinese IP, Firefox version ONE (!), yawn. Must be building on someone else's information, or they wouldn't be heading straight for interior pages.

I don't know what 173.et cetera is, but it's not me. Well, maybe it was me in August; the range does belong to my host.
