Alibaba Posts 11.9 pct Growth, It's Slowest In Over 2 Years [reuters.com]
Alibaba.com, China's largest e-commerce firm, posted an 11.9 percent rise in quarterly net profit, its slowest growth in nearly two years, with the company raising concerns due to a weak trade outlook stemming from debt woes in Europe and the United States.

The third-quarter results missed analyst forecasts and were attributed to a weak macroeconomic climate that led to a slower pace of customer additions.

They're becoming a victim of their own success in some areas. Competition is sprouting up in some markets.

I'd also like to think that the outrageous prices they now charge for premium listings has something to do with it. Alibaba used to be quite affordable, but in some areas they really try to gouge you.
