It will put the matched section of the search term in the title- bolded.
For example:
Adwords keyword: widget
search term: bluewidget
ad result:
title: widget
Adwords keyword: green widget
search term: greenwidget
ad result:
title: green widget
I was hoping to get the full bluewidget in the title section, maybe its another doublebyte problem?
Can anyone confirm if this happens to English keywords as well?
Are you looking into this just to get the bolding in the ad? Didn't you say that your bolding experiment on Yahoo was not showing an appreciated CTR?
Its been reported that by putting the search term in the title you get a higher CTR.Yes, but you seem to be concentrating on getting the bold to show up from your keywords in the ad itself...I don't know whether that's been shown to be a big factor in CTR.
How do you think the engine decides what is a complete word on its own and what is just part of a word?I'm not an expert on how they tokenize the character combinations and then parse out the words and phrases. We had a good thread about about how the Asian SEs break down the words here: Searching in Asian languages [webmasterworld.com] Google does better with some CJK languages than others. For instance a lot of people here have been saying that they are currently doing a terrible job with parsing out Chinese. Technically I don't think I could break down the process for you, although others here may.
