According to the copyright this engine has been around since 2001. Where do they get their results from? Do they spider?

Ketyung, why do you find this search engine worthy of a mention? Are you related to it in any way?

I'm seeing some pretty meaningless results. And i would think a country-focused search engine should separate bahasa melayu content from english. the news search isn't a search at all, and just goes to categorical news feeds. I hope it is new, because if it started in 2001 it should be better!

Hello;

It was only a directory for 2 years (since 2001) with free site submission. The spider was launched only in April, 2003 for crawling those websites listed in the directory. Web and image search were built from the crawled results.

Where are you getting your data from? The Directory hierarchy looks a lot like DMOZ although the content is certainly different. You might want to have a look at your cateloging of sites in the directory. The Reference section has a mixture of Yellow Pages, Links pages and the Australian High Commission, yet no Dictionaries. Yet there are dictionaries in the Search Engine. Hmmm.

Still, with a bit of work you could have a very good Engine/Directory covering Malaysia. Well Done, Keep it Up.

Thank you very much all for all the comments. Motionk.com is my personal project during my free time. I'm doing this single-handedly. The site listed in the directory were submitted thru the "Add Url" of old directory, the directory was there for 2 years but organized in a slightly different hirarchy. Since, I've collected about 500+ (Mostly Malaysian websites with .MY domain name) websites, and with my familiarity of Java/J2EE, I decided to build a spider/crawler to crawl those sites in the database and restructure the entire website to provide web, image and directory search, and news search later (under development). The crawler was just launched in mid of April, 2003. There are still lot of work for improvement, the speed, the directory hirarchy, the crawler etc, huh! I'm currently engaged with lot of work activities with my current employer, I wish I could spare out more time to organize the directory structure and improve the searched results and integrate a ditionary for this etc. :)
