I was wondering if SARS outbreak created general increase of traffic on Asian sites? Logic tells that it should, however I havenft seen it myself. Also traffic on this forum is rather decreasing.

My Chinese and Japanese sites are not showing any dramatic changes. I guess it depends on your markets.

I think that the increase of traffic on Asian sites (or mainly chinese) during the SARS period are limited to pages related to the government, newsportals or travelling pages... I can guess that ie. Cathay Pacific get's a great increase in traffic on their website.

Regarding WordTracker.com's list SARS is top keyword, don't remember where it was but within the top 300 ...

absolutely no noticeable difference in general.. 'cept that Google nicely picked up our SARS news page, which became the highest accessed page, even more than the index page for 10 days or so.. Really over here and since the Iraq war news slowed down, SARS is really the ONLY topic of conversation and news around SE Asia.

I would guess that the airlines like Cathy would have taken a massive drop in traffic. People just don't want to get on planes, that's why Cathy has dropped the number of flights they are making.
