Rediff Search Engine

who is powering rediff's search engine?

Hi,

I came to know from an old post tht Inktomi was powering Rediff's search engine. But does that mean it is indirectly powered by Yahoo, coz yahoo bought out Inktomi a few years ago. Or have they built their own search engine?

I'd like to know the current status if possible.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld blinkdesign. Good question.

They certainly aren't using any "powered by" statements or logos in the SERPs that I checked. I skimmed through some of their investor information documents, and they list Yahoo and Google as direct competitors, but mention nothing about outsourcing their search to anyone.
