Google versus Yahoo in japan

It seems Yahoo is more popular

About everywhere most of searches are through Google...

Only in Japan I have this figures:

Is Yahoo so much popular in Japan?

Yes. Yahoo Japan has always held the lead over Google Japan in that regard. Just like in China, Google is a strong #2 in Japan.

Yahoo wil bring you the most traffic in Japan. Google is second with the home grown search engines and portals after that. MSN is usually #6 or so in search engine traffic for my sites.
