For google serps in Japan, I see that besides the DMOZ and Yahoo directories, there are also: Fresheye- directory by Looksmart? Goo - directory by Looksmart? All About (not really a directory, but many top sites are linked by them)
Any others?

LookSmart boasts that its directory results reach 70% of the Japanese internet audience. They do this by syndicating their directory listings on other sites. Traditionally listings on LookSmart's English directory did not have a noticeable impact on Google SERPs. (LookSmart Japan is still a directory) It is doubtful that a LookSmart listing will do much to improve your position on Google.
Other directories in Japan include infoseek [infoseek.co.jp], goo [dir.goo.ne.jp], and some smaller ones like Jicoo [jicoo.co.jp], J.O.Y. [joyjoy.com] and a ton of smaller specialty directories.
