Further to this thread [webmasterworld.com].

In this report [news.com.au], court proceedings are underway.

The Australian Consumer and Competition Commission (ACCC) is taking world-first legal action in the Federal Court against Google Inc over allegedly deceptive conduct related to sponsored links on its websites.

The ACCC has brought a two-pronged case against Trading Post and Google - including subsidiaries Google Australia and Google Ireland - for potentially misleading consumers.

This appears to be based on an alleged breach of the Trade Practices Act when specific Car Dealerships names were used in Adwords campaigns by another advertiser.

I always thought Google was pretty good about labeling their ads, but it's clear that isn't the case here. What's the sentiment in AU about this? Is it getting a lot of press?
