I am trying to find out the age of an australian .com.au domain name. The few places i have looked don't tell me the registration details so was hoping someone could help me out.
Is there a place to check this out or is date last modified the only thing it lets you know?
Briggidere, as far as I am aware, the creation/expiration dates of Aussie Domains are not publicly available, only the last-modified date.

Woz is right, these details were removed from the whois interface a few years ago as scammers were sending bogus renewal notices to registrants, around the same time as the name was due for renewal. Confused registrants were then paying twice the normal fee (which was $AU140 for 2 years at the time )
If you need the creation date for legal reasons (eg as part of a TM claim) then you can ask the regulator, who are at www.auda.org.au, though you'll need to prove your need.
