Google Rated Most Attractive Foreign Company in Korea [english.chosun.com]

Google Korea has been named the foreign company that most Koreans would like to work for. According to a survey of 2,150 job seekers by jobs company Career, Google Korea ranked first place as the preferred foreign employer, receiving 11.5 percent of the vote.

Of the respondents who chose Google, 38.4 percent cited its corporate image as the reason they would like to work there, while 27.6 percent said career development possibilities and 18.9 percent cited the Internet company's high salaries.

IBM Korea came in second place with 9.8 percent of the vote, followed by P&G Korea with 6.8 percent, 3M Korea with 6.1 percent and Renault Samsung Motors with 5.8 percent.

So would most like to work there, but not use their services (re: previous posts about Google's low market share)? That sounds about right. :)

Roger that. That's exactly it. Its a big internation sexy name, a relatively cushy job and atmosphere compared to the horror of climbing the Korean conglomerate ladder.

Don't blame em. :p

Funny thing is... I know ppl that work there... but use Naver as their default homepage/search. At least when no one is looking. LOL.
