I find you often talk about something about China, so I am very curious and I want to know who come from China in the forum.

I live in nanjing,China and glad to know you.

No, I'm not.

P.S. I wonder how big this thread will get if every member answers :)

no.

You can also check the user profile links in each post to see whether that person lists their geographical location

youyouyu, Ni Hao,

No I am not Chinese, although some people would question that. I have lived and worked there for a while and thouroughly enjoyed my time there.

What I might do though is hijack your question a little and make it:-

"Are you interested in the Chinese Market, and Are you Chinese?" Might make for an interesting little survey of our members to see how many are looking towards the Chinese Market..

China is such a potentially enormous market, and the next super power in the years to come, that I would be surprised if anyone is not interested.

"Are you interested in the Chinese Market, and Are you Chinese?"

I'm not Chinese, but am certainly interested in the market. I do some work in the Japanese industrial sector, and a lot of them are moving manufacturing facilities to China or doing a lot of procurement from China. The economy in Japan has been spiraling downwards for about the last 10 years and the Chinese market's recent growth is seen as positive by some and a threat by others. The industrial quarter is certainly on edge, but a lot of them are pro-actively looking at establishing themselves in China now.

PS: welcome to WebmasterWorld youyouyu!

China is such a potentially enormous market ... that I would be surprised if anyone is not interested.

Assuming that everyone here has a commercial for-profit venture, you'd most likely be correct.

I don't. So, I'll answer 'No' to both questions.

I'm not Chinese (though almost all of my neighbors and landlord are!) but something relative I found in my recent international shipping research is that for $12 you can ship smaller items up to 4 pounds from the US to like 100 cities in China via USPS within 4-5 days! [pe.usps.gov...]

What's amazing in comparison is that you can ship the same way to ONLY 3 or 4 cities in Mexico!
Shows you just how well organized and what potential China has for a selling market.

I'm not Chinese but I would be willing to Joint Venture a site that would sell intangibles to that market just to see what would happen.

For a few of my sites I would be very interested in cracking the Chineese market. With over 1 billion people I am sure some of them are looking for what I can offer.

If you guys have any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer.

Actually we do have an open question in another thread that you might be able to help us with. How many Chinese people speak English? [webmasterworld.com]

Hi to all that i ain't ran into before.

interested in the Chinese Market

yes. got a couple of customers in China, though not enough to warrant moving out there. However, in Asia, there seems to be oppurtunities in my market place, so certainly in the next couple of years, i can see getting up a chinese version of the website.

No and no. Iīm one of those old Europeans ;) in the tradition of the Enlightment, Rule of Law, Intīl Justice, Law as a Moral Judgement, Reason and Morality and such. Thatīs not to sound like cultural imperialism, itīs just as it is ;)

Otherwise itīs just a lack of knowledge on the chinese tradition/society/culture on my part.

The MMT office is opening in Singapore this coming 10th February - so, yes, you could put me down as being interested in the Chinese market.
