Japan: Copyright Law revision eyed to foster search-engine business

I had wondered why Google didn't have data centers in Japan.

Excellent find David!
It doesn't sound like the Japanese government's SE project would get very far without revision of that law. As that was a highly publicized project I'll bet we'll see a change in Japanese copyright laws for SEs very soon.
