Baidu blog search

There have been a bunch of articles in the press about this new search facility by Baidu. I'm not very familiar with the Chinese blog scene, but I know that there are millions of Chinese out there who are blogging. My question is how good is this new service? Is Baidu displacing other blog search engines in China?

Looks like a search query equals to

Keywords
site:hi.baidu.com;
site:spaces.live.com;
site:blogcn.com;
...

Also I noticed results from hi.baidu.com (baidu's own blog subsite) normally take all the good positions of the SERPs.

I think baidu has a short list of the blog sites, I mean big blog hosting providers, individual blog sites like www.someone.com which using blog has not being included yet.

I personally don't think this thing valuable. It has a powerful competetor: I am not going to guess there would be a Google Blog Search something, I am talking about Google Custom Search Engine (http://www.google.com/coop/cse/ ), with this tool, anyone can build a better blog-search-engine than baidu did.

For example, I'll go build some search engines this type right after I finish this post :) Including a Ccton Blog Finder (Powered by Google CSE)
