Hi,

I have a .com website hosted in the USA but my business is based in Australia and i live in Australia. I choose the .com to assist with my International business and a hosting company in the USA because of a better package/rates.

My question is: How can i get listed in Google.com.au?

I don't want to do anything like a mirror site with .com.au as that will get me kicked out all together.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Just being listed in Google will get you there. Make sure to include some thing "aussie" on the page. Links to .com.au's, and that your whois info is pointed at an aussie email address.

I think im noticing that our sites that have links from .uk domains have much better rankings in google.uk than our other sites that dont.

Is it possible this may be another way to get into oz google? Ild lay bets on that quicker than betting on which of two gekkos crawling down the dunny wall will get to the besser brick first.

chiyo, LOL

Good One Mate!

I did an exact search for my domain at google.com.au searching for pages from Australia and my site came up. The only problem is when i do keyword searches for my site it is no where to be found. I made the searches so specific that it would have to bring up my site.....but no luck.

I guess being thought of by google.com.au in that way is like not being listed at all. My site has links from .au sites, is extremly Aussie orientated in nature but my e-mail address is info@mydomain.com....no .com.au

Any other ideas on how to improve rankings when google thinks your a yank but you'r really a true blue Aussie?

Thanks for everyones help so far.

Brett, your every where man, your commitment to this board is greatly appreciated! :)
