Robin Li, Chairman of Baidu, made such comments on China's Internet Market today at China Internet Conference 2006. Hopefully, it will help you to understand the market better:
1. China's search market is very small comparing to its GDP. It equals to 10% of UK market, or 25% of the South Korea market. That's say, China's search market is still in its primary stage of development.
2. The Coverage ratio of Internet user in China is as little as 9%, it will harm the growth of future internet development.
3. 70% of the internet users in China is under the age of 30, which limits the internet performance in social and economic development.
4. The business mode for Web2.0 is unclear and bubble economy may appears in this field.
