Google butts up against a Chinese wall [marketwatch.com]
The firm found that in Beijing, Shanghai and Gungzhou, China's most mature Internet markets, Baidu's share of Internet search climbed more than 13% since last year, and now stands at 65.4% of all Web-search queries.

Meanwhile, Google's share of Internet search in the three cities has so far dropped 12% this year, to 20% from last year's 32%.

I knew that Baidu was doing well, but didn't expect that Google had lost quite so much market share over the past year.

I noticed this blog post today stating that Baidu is kicking Gogle's derriere in China right now:

Anyone think these results are accurate or inaccurate, and if so, why?

According to this article [linuxworld.com.au], which I believe is referring to the same study, the survey was conducted by CNNIC.
for this survey, CNNIC said that it interviewed 4,500 total Chinese Internet users, 1,500 each in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, and that the poll had a 5 percent margin of error.

I do admit baidu is growing quickly. I found this through my daily search queries. On the other hand, Baidu is now facing lawsuits in the Mainland relating to click frauds. Provided baidu has a good reputation as google among the internet users, it will surely continue to expand its market share. Baidu nominated a new vice president today with intention to build its brand. It maybe a new move.
