Japanese email / keyboard character Q

Do Japanese use hotmail / Yahoo like everyone else

Sorry the question is not exactly on Search Engines, but I was wondering if people in Japan use the same 26 letter characters like European languages Italy, germany USA Australia etc in their email address'.

I gather it is user choice but I am looking at targetting the Japanese backpacker/tourist travelling the world and hoping the majority use the Hotmail or Yahoo service.

As far as I know e-mail addressing is standardized worldwide, so yes, the Japanese are using the same characters for their e-mail addresses as everyone else.
